INDICATIONS::
common cold, influenza, upper respiratory tract infection, cold prevention, sore throat, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, otitis media (earache)
CHINESE FUNCTIONS:
Dispels wind, clears heat, expels toxins. Use with caution in deficient or cold patients.
STANDARD DOSAGE:
3-6 tablets, 3 x day.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. 4 tablets twice a day may be taken for cold or flu prevention. In the acute stages of illness, adult dosage may be increased to 4 tablets every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect.
For children 2-5 years old 1/3 adult dose, 5-10 years old half adult dose, 11 years old and up 2/3 to full adult dose. May be used short-term for few days to a few weeks.
Although Gan Mao Ling is most effective when taken at the early stages of a cold or flu, it can be taken all the way through a cold to speed recovery. The immune-enhancing quality of san cha ku also makes Gan Mao Ling a very good choice for cold and flu prevention.
INGREDIENTS:
ilex asprella root, evodia lepta root & leaf, chrysanthemum indicum flower, vitex negundo herb & root, isatis indigotica root, lonicera japonica flower.
CAUTIONS & CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Contraindicated if strong chills are present. Use with caution in hemorrhagic disorders or with patients on anti-coagulant therapy.
